Concerto Curriculum sponsored by Citizens Energy Group

Our days spent with Claire (Huangci) were of rigorous practice, hoping to make ourselves as impressive as possible to play behind a pianist of such talent and composure. Within minutes of her introduction, practice began on Bach’s Piano Concerto in D Minor; and, although our orchestra was slightly rusty, Claire played like a well-oiled machine from the second she sat at the piano bench. We set our goals high, played our hearts out, and had lots of fun with a pianist whose musicality is second to none. I think I speak for us all when I say that it was an immense pleasure to play with a pianist who was as charming as she was talented.
